On November 17, 2024, Bloomington Police Officer Turner observed a vehicle driving with no headlights. He made a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 22-year-old woman. The woman initially denied consuming any alcohol. Officer Turner asked to perform the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test while she remained seated in her vehicle. When a backup officer arrived, Officer Turner asked the woman to step out of her vehicle in order to perform the full battery of field sobriety tests. After the tests, the woman admitted to consuming 8 shots of alcohol. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Bloomington police station. She submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.178% BAC. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
