A routine stop for a disabled vehicle quickly escalates as an officer suspects impairment, leading to a series of failed sobriety tests. Responding to a disabled SUV with a flat tire, an officer engaged with the driver, Justine Meadow, and immediately noted slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol. Despite her denial of consumption and refusal to provide identification, the officer proceeded with field sobriety exercises. The Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test was incomplete due to non-compliance, followed by a failed Walk and Turn test where she struggled to maintain a straight line and count steps. The One Leg Stand test was terminated early as she stumbled and sought support from her vehicle. Ultimately, she was arrested for operating under the influence, and later recorded a staggering BAC of 0.332% at the station, leading to multiple summonses before being released to a responsible party. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
