A late-night traffic stop escalates when a severely intoxicated driver, accused of child endangerment, denies all wrongdoing despite overwhelming evidence. Police responded to reports of an intoxicated driver attempting to abandon her two young children at a gas station, where witnesses observed her aggressively handle an infant and drive away with the children. Officers located her vehicle on a dark suburban street. During the subsequent traffic stop, the driver exhibited extreme intoxication, slurred speech, and erratic behavior, repeatedly changing her story and denying alcohol consumption. Officers confirmed the interaction was being recorded as the individual expressed concern for her children while simultaneously denying any wrongdoing regarding her actions or her whereabouts. The individual was subsequently arrested on multiple charges, including child neglect, and it was noted she was on probation for a prior child neglect case in another state.
