We’re back with Arizona DPS Trooper B. Leverett and Night Watch — and this night escalates FAST. It starts with a suspected impaired driver who crashes his vehicle after allegedly driving erratically. Troopers begin their investigation, and before long, he’s in handcuffs and headed to Phoenix Metro booking. Then Leverett spots another vehicle speeding and weaving down I-10. The driver says he hasn’t been drinking… but the field sobriety tests and an open container tell a different story. Now there’s another problem: his dog is still in the car, and apparently NO ONE is willing to come get her. Thankfully, Trooper Leverett manages to track down a family member — who has some very strong opinions about what should happen to her brother. 😂 And then things get crazy. Two cars suddenly FLY past us on I-10 at over 130 MPH. Leverett takes off, Phoenix PD’s Firebird helicopter joins overhead, one vehicle disappears, and we eventually catch up with the other. What follows is a wild street-racing investigation involving an arrest, a firearm, an underage passenger, and one of the strangest roadside conversations we’ve had yet. Never a dull moment with Trooper Leverett. A huge thank you to Trooper B. Leverett and the Arizona Department of Public Safety for once again allowing Alpha Responder Network to ride along.
