A dramatic standoff occurred in Houston's 300 block of Capitol Street on November 18, when police responded to reports of a man and woman trespassing and threatening a property manager with a weapon. During the encounter, the woman, identified as the suspect’s girlfriend, resisted arrest, causing both her and an officer to fall and suffer minor injuries. As officers detained her, the suspect approached with his hands concealed, ignoring multiple commands to show his hands. Believing the man was armed, Officer C. Castle fired, striking him in the leg. Both suspects were transported to nearby hospitals. Disclaimer: The following content contains graphic scenes of violence that may be disturbing to some viewers.
