He found a damaged Belgian block garden bed and a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta with severe front-end damage. The driver was identified as Kelly Terranova. As Manney spoke with Kelly, he smelled alcohol and noticed signs of possible impairment. A man sat in the passenger seat. Kelly was initially reluctant to say she had been driving. Officers Byrnes, Najera, and Law arrived to assist. The passenger told them he and Kelly had just left rehab and had met there. Kelly eventually admitted she had been driving, then refused to cooperate. Officer Najera handcuffed her and told her she was under arrest. A search of her wallet turned up a PBA Gold Card issued to Kelly by Parsippany Police Patrolman Dave Ribaudo. Officers first took Kelly to the Hanover Police Department, where she completed field sobriety tests in the sally port. Their testing machine was out of order, so they brought her to the Florham Park Police Department. After officers read her driver rights, she agreed to provide breath samples for an Alcotest. The test recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.17%, more than twice New Jersey's legal limit of 0.08%. Kelly was released to her mother while awaiting her court date. She signed a Potential Liability Warning form on her behalf. Her initial resistance led to charges of obstruction and resisting arrest under New Jersey law. Manney also issued several traffic tickets. The charges included driving under the influence, reckless and careless driving, improper lane use, obstructing traffic, delaying vehicles, leaving a property damage crash scene, and failing to report the crash. Records show Kelly had prior DWI arrests in New Jersey. She was booked in Montville Township on January 7, 2023. Earlier, she was arrested in Mansfield Township on April 14, 2019, after a hit-and-run. She also faced DWI charges in Rockaway Township on March 29 and March 27, 2019. Her first DWI arrest was in Hanover Township on March 1, 2010. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
