#news #police #arrest #cops #uber #ubereats Report: On 02/24/2022, Officers were driving when officer witnessed a gold Chevy Impala fail to stop at the stop sign. While officer was attempting to catch up to the car, officer witnessed the car driving quickly, switching lanes multiple times and driving with no headlights on while it was very foggy. While trying to catch up to the vehicle in the officers marked patrol car, officer did not have his emergency lights or sirens on at this time. Officer was able to catch up to the car. Officer continued to follow the car while going 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. The car did not slow down or behave in a manner consistent with pulling over. The car eventually got into the right lane and slowed down to 5 mph while continuing to drive, passing multiple parking lots. The officer had to get onto my cars loud speaker and tell the driver to stop the vehicle. The car pulled into a local business. The car never made evasive maneuvers or fled during this stop. While speaking to both the driver and the passenger, The suspect stated that the passenger was her brother. The driver of the vehicle was asked multiple times for her Driver's license. While The suspect (driver) was searching through her purse, another officer noticed a driver's license and asked the driver whose license that was. The suspect (driver) stated it was her sisters and that she did not have her license with her. While speaking with the suspect at the rear of her car, the suspect opened her purse to look for her ID again and the officer witnessed burnt tin foil and a cut straw in plain view within the suspects purse. Both suspects were detained at this point. The officer searched the suspect (driver) purse and located a scale, multiple cut straws, burnt foil, and a spoon, the suspects (driver) ID was located in her purse. The officer also found an ID issued to the passenger. Officer believe passenger gave a false name. After running the passengers information with dispatch, he came back to have multiple felony probation violation warrants. Upon searching the passenger compartment of the vehicle, The officer found another scale in the middle compartment and a cut straw, foil and a spoon under the passenger seat. The suspect (driver) was arrested for obstruction, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, running a stop sign and drug related items. She was transported to the jail by another officer. The other suspect (passenger) was arrested for 2 counts of giving a false name and date of birth. He was transported to jail by another officer.
