On October 9, 2025, Pevely Police responded to an urgent shots-fired call at a home in the 900 block of Landmark Manor. According to public reports and court documents, 44-year-old James Thomas Dixon allegedly pulled out a pistol during a domestic dispute and fired one round inside the residence while arguing with a family member. Officers arrived to find a volatile and dangerous situation unfolding inside the home. This video features the arresting officer’s body-worn camera footage only, as requested under Missouri’s Sunshine Law. The footage shows the moment officers entered the residence, confronted Dixon, recovered the firearm, and safely took him into custody. Dixon has been charged with: First-degree domestic assault (Class B felony) Armed criminal action Additional related charges as listed in court records No injuries were reported from the gunfire, and officers recovered the firearm on scene.
