Alexis blamed herself for the speeding, but Officer Nunez calmly reassured her and issued Luis three traffic citations: Reckless Driving Failure to Observe Flashing Traffic Signal Violation of Provisional License Restrictions Before releasing them, Officer Nunez gave a final warning — urging them to drive safely and avoid tragedy. Just 11 minutes later, Officer Nunez responded to a fatal accident on Route 1-9 and 36th Street involving the same Kia Stinger.
