First DUI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGhDxdaxiCo Around 2:38 AM on September 6, 2025, Officer Ethan Bowers with the St. Petersburg Police Department observed a silver 2022 Acura TL speeding at approximately 55 MPH in a 35 MPH zone as it was headed northbound on 4th Street North. He made a U-turn and began following the Acura. As he followed the vehicle, he observed the driver swerving repeatedly while nearly striking a curb. After the driver turned into the parking lot of Fresh Market (2900 4th Street North), Officer Bowers activated his emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop. He made contact with the driver of the Acura, who was identified as 23-year-old Kayla Craig. She initially claimed that she was coming from another guy’s house and admitted to having 1 beer earlier that evening. She would later admit that she had left work at Voodoo Brewing and that she was heading home. Based on his suspicion of impairment, Kayla was asked to exit the vehicle and perform field sobriety exercises. Her poor performance on the field sobriety exercises confirmed the officers’ suspicion of impairment, and Kayla was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. After Kayla was placed under arrest, she was transported to the St. Petersburg Police Department. At the station, she was asked to submit to a breath test and she agreed to do so. Her breath test results indicated BAC levels of 0.168% and 0.170%, respectively. After the breath test was completed, she was transported to the Pinellas County Jail. Kayla was charged with DUI BAC over 0.15 pursuant to 316.193(4) and eventually released pending her court appearance. Kayla was eventually released on December 7, 2026 pending her court appearance after she posted a bond of $500. Court records indicate that on February 23, 2026, Kayla was found guilty of DUI. As a result of her conviction, she was sentenced to 12 months of probation, 6 months of ignition interlock usage, and 50 hours of community service. She also had to pay $1,468 in fines for her DUI conviction. Kayla has previously been arrested for DUI by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office on February 20, 2021. Her prior arrest occurred when she was 19 years of age, and she blew a 0.177% and 0.170%, respectively, following her first DUI arrest. ---------------------------------------------------- Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and consider supporting this channel (email us for more information).
