This Happened at Kent State University Campus Police Narrative - "On 04/20/2024 while patrolling the area of E. Main St. near Luther Ave., I observed a female who appeared to be hunched over on her hands and knees on the sidewalk on the south side of E. Main St. She was being attended to by two other females. This lead me to believe that the female was either intoxicated or in possible need of medical attention. After activating my emergency lights, the females proceeded to walk away from my cruiser. I then requested them to stop and walk back to me. It was immediately apparent that the female who was hunched over was intoxicated. She stumbled as she walked and her words were slurred as she spoke. Each female had very glossy eyes which is consistent with alcohol consumption. The females were identified as KSU students Savannah, Hannah, and Lily. They were currently walking back to Dunbar Hall from a fraternity house on E. Main St. Each female admitted to consuming 4 to 5 shots or mixed drinks since 2130hrs.I then offered to drive the students to Dunbar Hall. Soon after the students exited my cruiser, Savannah began to vomit. KFD was immediately requested to evaluate her level of intoxication. KFD later responded and determined that she was not in need of a medical transport to the hospital. Savannah continued to vomit while KFD was performing their evaluation. While Hannah and Lily were admittedly intoxicated, they were able to care for themselves and answer questions properly. They agreed to remain with Savannah in her room for the remainder of the evening to take care of her. Due to each student's admission of consuming alcohol while under the age of 21, they each received a Summons for Prohibitions. Neither student has a CCH or prior contact with KSUPD. Their court date is set for Wednesday April 24th at 0815hrs. Nothing further to report."
