This intense bodycam clip from December 5, 2022, captures a heated confrontation during the arrest of Daniel Hilts, a 32-year-old patron from Punta Gorda, Florida, at Anthony’s Restaurant & Pub in Joliet, Illinois. Filmed in the parking lot at 1:50 AM, this YouTube Short shows officers threatening Hilts with jail, stating, “If you don’t get in the car, you’re going to jail,” as he asks for a lighter, “Can I get a lighter?” and is told, “You got one in my truck.” Hilts is pushed to leave, with mutual recording confirmed—“I got this all on recording, bro,” met with, “Great, I do too.” Officers accuse him of approaching, urge, “Go home,” and offer a free ride, creating a viral-ready moment for true crime fans. The incident began when Hilts, ejected from Anthony’s for disruptive behavior, tried to drive his car, prompting intervention by Officers Joseph Robinson and Robert Bukala.
