On July 1, 2023, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office received reports of a reckless driver. Deputy Welch located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle was being driven by a 19-year-old woman wearing a bikini. She admitted to consuming alcohol while being at the beach earlier in the day. As a result, she was asked to step out of her vehicle and perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest for DUI. At the jail, she provided two breath samples, which measured 0.172% and 0.176% BAC. Her charge and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
