The officer quickly located a silver 2015 Hyundai driving erratically, specifically noting it was slowly moving towards a landscaping trailer, prompting a traffic stop. Upon contact, the driver, who claimed to be experiencing a panic attack, later revealed she was distraught after being told to leave her workplace. As backup officers arrived and took over the DUI investigation, the situation escalated when the driver initially resisted exiting her vehicle to perform field sobriety exercises, though she eventually complied. During the exercises, which included the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, Walk and Turn, and One Leg Stand tests, she displayed clear signs of impairment, failing multiple components such as maintaining balance, proper foot placement, and following instructions. Based on her observed erratic driving and poor performance on the field sobriety tests, she was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
