Shortly after midnight on July 7, 2024, a 911 call came in: a man had broken into the home on Benchor Road NW through the back sliding door. Police arrived to find Kelley McCollom and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Matthew Szejnrok, dead inside. The one who called it in was her own 16-year-old, Julia "Jasper" Egler. The intruder story didn't survive the first few hours. Bloody footprints matched a pair of the teen's own shoes. Security footage showed no one entering the house after McCollom and Szejnrok got home that night. What investigators say actually happened was worse than a break-in — a gun taken from the mother's bedroom, a wait in the dark kitchen, and two words allegedly spoken the moment the front door opened: "Welcome home." This is the real bodycam and interrogation footage of how Palm Bay detectives took apart a story built to survive exactly this kind of scrutiny — and didn't. 🚨 Stay till the end for what investigators say happened in the bathroom. 📌 Based on publicly available bodycam and interrogation footage, and court records.
