Officers were dispatched to a transfer level information kiosk after a Guest Service Representative activated a panic button due to a belligerent man. The man had become agitated and yelled while waiting in line. After momentarily leaving, he re-entered the terminal, sat near an airline ticketing counter, and began throwing a ten dollar bill on the floor while staring at a responding officer. The man refused to provide identification and confirmed he had no flight reservations. An airport operations manager formally issued a trespass warning, but the individual refused to leave the property. When an officer attempted to arrest him, the man tensed his arms and pulled away, causing both of them to fall to the floor in the struggle. He finally surrendered and was handcuffed after a second officer pointed a taser at him and delivered loud verbal commands. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
