A late-night disturbance call quickly escalates into a tense standoff as a suspected impaired driver refuses to exit her locked vehicle. Officers responded to a possible disturbance on Steamboat Drive at 1:42 AM on November 5, 2021, finding a young adult female, later identified as Gabriella, inside a locked 2011 BMW. Her boyfriend alerted Patrolman Adam Kraus that she had been drinking, and she subsequently defied officer instructions, threatening to drive away. Despite repeated commands, the suspect, who was not wearing shoes or socks, remained uncooperative, forcing officers to threaten breaking the car window to gain her compliance. Due to her belligerent behavior and signs of impairment, she was arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and obstructing the administration of law, before being released to her boyfriend after processing. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
