A Tampa DUI officer went out looking for a wrong-way driver, and she came at him head-on. Police say she blew a 0.275, about three times the legal limit. 🎥 In today's copyrighted documentary, we report on an incident that occurred in Tampa, Florida. The officer works DUI for Tampa police, and the call that night was a driver going the wrong way. His dash camera catches him on the radio saying he's got eyes on the car. He doesn't swerve. He stops his cruiser in the road, lights and siren going, and holds there while she closes on him. At the last second she cuts left, goes over the curb, and passes him. Nobody's hurt. Then he talks. He says he sat there holding the wheel with his eyes shut, and that she almost hit him. He stops her further on. He asks whether she saw him. She says no, says she was going the wrong way, and tells him she's sorry. He asks how much she's had. Two or three, she figures. Tequila, with soda and water. He reports several signs of impairment and runs the roadside tests. Tampa police say she failed them and arrested her. They say her breath test came back at 0.275, roughly triple Florida's 0.08 limit, and they charged her with DUI.
