Police respond after concerned neighbors report that two young children have been locked out of their own home with no parent in sight. What begins as a welfare check quickly turns into a child welfare investigation as officers work to determine how the children were left unattended and whether their safety was placed at risk. In this body cam footage, officers speak with neighbors, check on the children's well-being, and eventually make contact with the mother after she returns home. According to police, the mother explains that she had gone to the mall to sell cookies and believed a friend was watching the children. However, when officers ask for proof that childcare arrangements had been made, she is unable to provide it. Watch the full body cam video as officers investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and ultimately place the woman under arrest.
