A late-night traffic stop escalates when an officer observes erratic driving and a strong odor of alcohol. Sergeant Gramlich initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle operating without headlights and exhibiting erratic patterns. Upon contact, the driver displayed signs of incoherence and impairment, leading the officer to request field sobriety exercises. After failing multiple tests, including the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, One Leg Stand, and Walk and Turn, and reciting the alphabet by singing, the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
