On April 29, 2023, Old Bridge Township police stopped a 28-year-old female motorist after it was alleged that she hit a guardrail. When Officer Benedict approached her vehicle, there was no obvious damage to her vehicle. However, she had an open IPA in the cup holder of her vehicle. She denied consuming alcohol, but she was told to exit her vehicle in order to perform field sobriety tests (FSTs). Once she was arrested, handcuffed, and placed in the back of the patrol car, she started to become belligerent and irrational. The police department did not release the results of her breath test, but public records show this is her 2nd DUI arrest. Her case has not yet been adjudicated. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
