On March 22, 2024, Roswell Police Officers responded to a non-injury motor vehicle accident. Witnesses to the accident reported that the at-fault vehicle was traveling in the wrong lane of traffic. The 23-year-old driver immediately claimed responsibility and admitted fault. After the other parties left the scene, the woman was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, even though she denied consuming alcohol. At the conclusion of the tests, she was arrested for DUI. At the police station, she submitted to an evidential breath alcohol test. The police report indicates the result was 0.31% BAC. She was transported to the hospital for medical clearance and then spent the weekend in the county jail until her arraignment on Monday. She was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence, failure to maintain traffic lanes, and texting while driving. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
