On July 30, 2025, Little Silver Patrolman Gilmore responded to the Acme Plaza on a report of a motor vehicle accident. The 51-year-old driver of a Kia SUV made contact with another vehicle while maneuvering into a parking stall. Officer Gilmore asked the woman if she had consumed any alcohol and she indicated that she had not. Because he could smell alcohol, he called for Sgt. Lorenson to come to his location. When Sgt. Lorenson arrived, he spoke briefly with the woman and confirmed that she smelled like alcohol. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and she again denied consuming any alcohol. After the tests, she was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor. The police report indicates she submitted to a breath test and the result was 0.331% BAC. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
