On May 31, 2025, the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office received multiple reports about a wrong-way driver on Interstate 25 (I-25). Sgt. Webb located the vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes. Sgt. Webb turned his patrol vehicle around in an attempt to stop the vehicle. Meanwhile, other deputies were setting up a spike strip a mile up the road. The vehicle, which was being driven by a 39-year-old woman, stopped just before the spike strips. The woman was confused about her location, thinking she was in Arizona, which is hundreds of miles away. Sensing that the woman was impaired, she was asked to step out of her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest for Driving While Under the Influence (DWI). It was later revealed that the woman was a convicted felon and two firearms were found in her vehicle. She was taken to the hospital for a consensual blood draw. Her extensive list of charges is revealed at the end of the video. The outcome of her case is also revealed, as well as what happened to her dog.
