If you like regular arrest content, be sure to check out our other channel @ArrestCam On September 7, 2024, a Florida Fish and Wildlife helicopter was on patrol near a sanctioned swim race when the pilot observed a 36’ Yellowfin traveling at a high rate of speed directly towards the swimmers. A U.S. Coast Guard vessel quickly intercepted the boater and ordered it to stop, but the boater continued. The pilot brought his helicopter 20’ above the water and began hovering ahead of the vessel’s path, bringing it to a stop. In the end, Thomas was charged with a third-degree felony for operating a vessel in a safety zone after being warned against doing so. Additionally, he was charged with two first-degree misdemeanors, one for boating while impaired and one for reckless operation of a vessel. He was also charged with possession of spiny lobsters that have been wrung or separated from the body, a second-degree misdemeanor. His case remains ongoing.
