On July 1, 2025, at approximately 1:57 PM, a fatal two-vehicle collision occurred near the 10900 block of West Saticoy Street in Sun Valley, Los Angeles. The crash involved a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) patrol vehicle and a civilian vehicle. A 91-year-old man in the civilian vehicle was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Two LAPD officers sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) paramedics. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
