On January 7, 2025, a New Mexico Fish and Game Officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing the vehicle driving erratically. The vehicle was being driven by a 51-year-old woman. The Fish and Game Officer requested the assistance of the Las Cruces Police Department and Officer Scarbrough arrived first. After speaking with the Fish and Game Officer, he initiated a Driving While Under the Influence (DWI) investigation, but the woman refused to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was then placed under arrest and was transported to the Las Cruces Police Station. She also refused to provide breath samples. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
