On the evening of June 25, 2022, St. Petersburg police officers working a traffic assignment for a downtown special event were flagged down by people who said a car had just been rear-ended on 2nd Avenue North. When the officers walked up, they say they watched the same car roll into the vehicle in front of it a second time. The driver was 20 years old. Asked for her license, she held an airport employee badge out of the window. Officers then spent several minutes trying to get her to move her car out of the traffic lane. This is the body camera footage of that stop, the crash investigation that followed, and the DUI investigation after that, shown in the order it happened. WHAT SHE WAS CHARGED WITH She was arrested at the scene for DUI with property damage and taken to the Pinellas County Jail. According to the police report, her conduct at the station was recorded as a refusal of the breath test, so no breath alcohol result exists. In 2022 a first refusal in Florida was a licence matter, not a criminal charge. WHAT HAPPENED NEXT As of September 2026 we have not been able to confirm a plea, sentence or dismissal on the public court record. We will update this description when we can. The driver in this video is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. A charge is an accusation, not a conviction. Nobody was reported injured in the crash. FOOTAGE Body-worn camera video from the St. Petersburg Police Department, recorded June 25, 2022, from three officers' cameras. Personal information, including a phone number, a home address, an employer and a date of birth, has been removed. Profanity has been muted.
