On February 9, 2026, Rio Rancho Police Officers were dispatched to a single car motor vehicle accident. Officers made contact with the 22-year-old driver of the crashed vehicle. She was unable to explain how her vehicle jumped the curb numerous times and became disabled. The police report indicates that Officers could smell alcohol coming from the woman's breath, but she initially denied drinking. She did admit to smoking cannabis just before the crash. Later, she admitted to consuming a shot of tequila 30 minutes before the accident. Numerous open containers of alcohol were found in her vehicle. Officers suspected that the woman urinated on herself, but she claimed she spilled alcohol in the area of her crotch. After being arrested, she provided two breath samples, which registered 0.15% and 0.14% BAC. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
