On March 21, 2015, Tampa Police Officer Brown observed a vehicle drive through a red light. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 23-year-old woman. The police report indicates that Officer Brown noted several indicators of impairment. As a result, he called for Officer Baden to come to the scene to conduct a DUI investigation. The woman agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the end of the tests, she was placed under arrest for DUI. Her passenger then became irate when she was told that she needed to exit the vehicle because it was being towed. The police report indicates the driver submitted to an evidential breath test and the results of the 2 samples were 0.198% BAC and 0.190% BAC. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
