On March 1, 2025, at approximately 9:33 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol troopers were alerted to a 2019 blue Hyundai Sonata traveling northbound on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County. The vehicle was displaying a Florida license plate that had been reported stolen. When troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled, initiating a pursuit with assistance from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office. The suspect vehicle traveled on the shoulder at speeds reaching approximately 137 mph, made multiple erratic lane changes, and narrowly avoided other vehicles. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle and continued fleeing. This is the dashcam footage of the events that followed.
