The vehicle was reportedly weaving through traffic and traveling without its headlights on. According to the official report, the trooper was traveling at approximately 140 MPH while attempting to catch up to the vehicle. After catching up, he paced the Ford Escape at speeds exceeding 100 MPH while observing the vehicle continuing to drive recklessly. The driver continued fleeing after emergency equipment was activated, including traveling on the right shoulder and weaving through traffic. The pursuit eventually required a Tactical Vehicle Intervention after several attempts. The incident continued after the vehicle was stopped, with the suspect reportedly resisting efforts to place him in custody and making threats toward the trooper.
