On January 11, 2026, Colts Neck Police Officers were advised of a vehicle traveling on State Route (SR) 34 with sparks shooting out from under the vehicle. Officer Santoro was able to locate the vehicle and he initiated a traffic stop. The 59-year-old driver was unaware that she had lost the 2 front tires on her 2025 Land Rover and was driving on the rims. The woman was asked if she had consumed any alcohol and she initially stated no, but eventually admitted to consuming one glass of wine two hours prior. She was asked to step out of her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor. She was transported to the Colts Neck Police Headquarters, where she provided breath samples. The result was 0.158% BAC. Her charges are listed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
