On July 28, 2024, West Chester Township Police Officer Fuller responded to a hit and run accident. A 22-year-old woman had collided with another vehicle, parked her car, and attempted to walk home. Officer Fuller located the woman and detained her while she demanded that she be able to contact her mom and dad. Officers felt the woman was intoxicated, so she was handcuffed, and placed in the back of a police vehicle. The woman's parents arrived on scene and convinced her to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, the woman was arrested for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence (OVI). At the police station, she refused to submit to an evidential breath test.
