An 81-year-old woman called police during an ongoing neighbor dispute, but the police bodycam investigation took an unexpected turn when she admitted spraying pepper spray toward her neighbors. Bodycam footage captures deputies investigating allegations involving a mother and two young children before the woman who complained to police ultimately found herself under arrest. Deputies initially responded to a heated dispute between neighbors after allegations that pepper spray had been discharged across a fence. The neighbor told deputies that she and her children had been outside playing with bubbles when the elderly woman allegedly approached the fence and sprayed toward them. When deputies questioned the 81-year-old woman, she gave her side of the ongoing neighborhood dispute and admitted using pepper spray, although she claimed she fired one large spray into the air rather than intentionally trying to hit anyone. The investigation continued as deputies interviewed the neighbors, examined the area for possible spray residue, discussed previous incidents between the two households, and determined whether the woman's actions constituted a criminal offense. Eventually, the same woman who had complained about her neighbors was told to place her hands behind her back. Ada Anderson was taken into custody and charged with three counts of felony battery, second or subsequent offense, after deputies alleged she pepper-sprayed her neighbor and the woman's two young daughters. This police bodycam footage is presented with original narration, editing, commentary, and context for documentary, educational, and public-interest purposes. All allegations and charges described in this video are allegations unless and until established through the legal process.
