Officers respond to a shocking report of public indecency on a busy beach, leading to an unexpected encounter. Around midday, patrol officers were dispatched to a coastal area following a report of two individuals engaged in public lewdness on the beach. Patrolwoman Amy Beringer, Sergeant Edward Junquet, and Special Officer Ayana Contreras coordinated their approach, confirming their route to the 16th street entrance as they received updates on the caller's precise location. Upon entering the beach, officers located a couple, later identified as Amanda Mohr and Edgar Dillon, where one individual was initially topless and asked to cover up. Nearby witnesses corroborated the lewd act, with one individual even providing video evidence that confirmed the public conduct to officers. Consequently, both individuals were advised they were under arrest for lewdness. Officers allowed them to gather their belongings and dress before escorting them to separate patrol vehicles for transport to the police department. While the individuals were being transported, Patrolwoman Beringer secured multiple written witness statements from other beachgoers.
