A late-night traffic stop quickly unravels into a serious impaired driving investigation, revealing the stark consequences of poor judgment. On September 15, 2023, a vehicle was observed making multiple turns without signaling and nearly striking a curb. Upon initiating a traffic stop, an officer detected the odor of alcohol and observed the driver's watery, bloodshot eyes. The driver, a young woman with long blonde hair, was uncooperative, refusing field sobriety exercises. Based on these indicators and erratic driving, she was arrested for driving under the influence. At the police department, after being read her rights, she submitted to a breathalyzer test, which showed a blood alcohol content of 0.179%.
