According to police, Ravell Sterling was shot and killed on Feb. 5 in Gresham by Charles Moi Moi and Clayton Harrell III. Both men are charged with aggravated murder. Rony Celis, the accused driver of the getaway vehicle, is charged with murder. The pursuit started in Portland after Sgt. Witnesses at the shooting scene described the suspects’ getaway vehicle as a gold or brown colored Cadillac. The pursuit continued on I-205 northbound and into Washington onto I-5. The speeds reached 110 miles per hour, according to court documents. In Cowlitz County, near exit 32, the Washington State Patrol used a “PIT” maneuver to spin the vehicle out. Police conducted a high-risk, felony traffic stop and took all three men into custody without incident. No shots were fired during the traffic stop.
