On November 1, 2024, at approximately 4:37 PM, deputies responded to a trespassing incident at a location on Palm Coast Parkway. Upon arrival, they were informed that a woman was being trespassed from a doctor's office after attempting to enter an employee-only area. When deputies arrived, she was in the lobby arguing with the staff. The woman claimed she did not speak English, but deputies who spoke Spanish were able to communicate with her and explain the situation. She was issued a written trespass notice but threw the notice at the deputies and refused to leave the premises. She stated she did not care if she was arrested and intended to contact her lawyer. She became verbally combative, disobeyed lawful commands, and caused a disruption at the scene. Due to her refusal to leave after receiving the warning, she was informed that she was being placed under arrest for trespassing. While deputies attempted to handcuff her, she actively resisted by bracing, tensing, and pulling away. During the process of securing her handcuffs, she continued to resist and scratched at the deputies. As a result of her actions, she was also charged with resisting without violence. The woman, along with her belongings, was transported to the local detention facility. During transport, she remained verbally combative and threatened to kick the doors of the patrol vehicle open.
