Future Arrest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbHJZvM7t5Y Around 2:10 PM on August 5, 2024, Sergeant Jason Falco with the Hoboken Police Department first responded to a report of a shoplifting at ShopRite on 900 Madison Street. He met with Felix at the front entrance and they walked upstairs to the loss prevention office. Felix informed him that this individual had repeatedly shoplifted and Sergeant Falco made contact with the alleged shoplifter, who was identified as 50-year-old Phillip Realpe. The loss prevention employee informed Sergeant Falco that he had attempted to shoplift approximately $113 worth of steaks. Officers Rose Kanan and Jessica Pizanie arrived on scene to assist shortly afterwards. Phillip had already been handcuffed by Sergeant Falco, and he was escorted to the patrol car by all 3 officers. He was transported by Officers Kanan and Pizanie to the Hoboken Police Department for further processing. He was charged with shoplifting under 2C:20-11B(2) and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. Court records indicate that Phillip had previously been arrested for allegedly shoplifting in Jersey City on August 5, 2023, Lyndhurst on February 1, 2024, Fairview on February 8, 2024 and Secaucus on July 28, 2024.
