This footage covers an incident at the Tampa International Airport Marriott Hotel Skyye Bar that occurred on September 21, 2025. A male patron sat at the bar and ordered a burger and a ginger ale. The patron took a bite of the sandwich, claimed he felt ill, and proceeded to leave the establishment without paying the balance of $24.46. Hotel loss prevention staff tracked the patron to the police department lobby where officers made contact. When questioned, the individual was uncooperative, gave inconsistent statements about why he was at the airport, and could not pay the outstanding bill. Law enforcement detained the man and placed him under arrest for defrauding a food operator. Officers transported the individual to the Orient Road Jail and served him with a one-year trespass warning for the airport facility. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
