On May 8, 2024, at approximately 7:50pm, Detective Paul Quinn and Police Officers Dylan Archilla and Samuel Flores responded to a reported shoplifting incident on the 300 block of Jackson Street. Officers Anthony Ingraffia and Daniela Simone were already on scene detaining the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Shavon Smith of Jersey City. Sergeant James Barbro and Officer Alexander Miller conducted an investigation, interviewing an employee of Super Foods located at 301 Jackson Street. The employee reported that Ms. Smith is a known shoplifter and was observed on this occasion taking a beverage in an attempt to leave the store without rendering payment. Consequently, Ms. Smith was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing on shoplifting charges. She was subsequently transferred to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. #shoplifting #bodycam #hoboken
