On June 10, 2025, Westfield Police Patrolman Albanese observed a vehicle briefly drive in the opposite lane of traffic. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 49-year-old woman. She was asked to step out of the vehicle and it was revealed that she was wearing a foot boot. As a result, the standard battery of field sobriety tests could not be administered. The woman was arrested for Operating a Vehicle Impaired and was transported to the Westfield Police Headquarters. She agreed to submit breath samples and the result was 0.23% BAC. She was given numerous traffic summonses and was released to the custody of her husband. The outcome of her case is discussed at the end of the video. Her sentence was enhanced because this was her 2nd arrest for drunk driving.
