A traffic stop for erratic driving rapidly escalates into a DUI investigation, revealing extreme impairment. Officer Perz, on extra duty, was alerted by school staff about a potentially impaired teacher driving a silver 2015 Hyundai. He located the vehicle slowly driving towards a landscaping trailer and initiated a stop. The driver, identified as Lauren Brunetto, displayed clear indicators of impairment despite claiming a panic attack, and initially refused to exit her vehicle for field sobriety exercises. Backup officers Miller and Styles took over the investigation, requesting she perform field sobriety tests (HGN, Walk and Turn, One Leg Stand), which she failed to execute properly. During the interaction, after being informed of her impending arrest, she desperately requested a "nicotine pump." Officer Styles subsequently cited her for DUI after her arrest. A search of her vehicle yielded 6 bottles of vodka, and later at the police department, her breathalyzer results showed BAC levels of 0.311% and 0.305%, nearly four times the legal limit.
