This was a routine traffic stop that turned into something life changing for this couple. During the stop both suspects got out of the vehicle, they were waiting on another officer to arrive so that they could do a search of the vehicle. Then out of nowhere the male suspect gets back in the car and takes off leaving his wife at the original scene of the traffic stop with no vehicle and only the cop there. There was a chase of the male suspect in his vehicle, he had a little bit of a head start. The male suspect abandoned the vehicle several miles down the road and he was not visible to authorities when they arrived. They began to search the area with their weapons draw, eventually finding the suspect and arresting him. What is NOT shown in the video is detectives searching the area after the arresting officers took the suspects to jail. Detectives found a full duffel bag ($1.5m worth of product ) that he had ditched, it is unclear if he tried to hide it or just was trying to get rid of it. The male got a 4 year prison sentence and the female apparently had her charges dropped after initially being locked up on $1.5m bond.
