REAL POLICE BODYCAM footage captures the emotional reaction of a DUI suspect as officers attempt to read her rights during a late-night traffic stop in Santa Fe. This bodycam video documents the challenging communication between law enforcement and an agitated driver during a critical phase of a DUI arrest. In this police bodycam footage from December 28, 2024, officers attempt to communicate with Pamela Moreno following her arrest for aggravated DUI at the intersection of W Alameda Street and Entrada in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The encounter began as a routine traffic stop for a stop sign violation but escalated when officers observed signs of impairment. After Standardized Field Sobriety Tests indicated possible intoxication, Moreno was placed under arrest and seated in the back of a patrol vehicle. The bodycam captures her desperate attempts to interrupt the standard arrest procedures: "No. Are you listening to me? Do your thing, brother. Listen to me." This agitated dialogue, recorded clearly on bodycam, reflects the emotional state often encountered by officers during DUI arrests. Her communication becomes increasingly hostile: "Pamela. My fucking baby's—" before being interrupted by an officer attempting to maintain procedural requirements. When the officer tries to continue, Moreno escalates her resistance: "Do your thing, motherfucker. Do— Well, look, look over here. Do your fucking thing. No." This verbal aggression, documented on bodycam, represents a common challenge officers face when attempting to complete required legal notifications. Moreno continues seeking acknowledgment: "Well, c-, are you listening? Can you tell me if you're listening or not? Are you listening?" This repeated questioning, captured on the police bodycam, suggests heightened anxiety or confusion typical of individuals processing the reality of arrest. In a later segment, an officer attempts to de-escalate the situation: "Pamela, can you take a couple deep breaths and listen to me, what I'm trying to tell you? Listen to me. I'm about to tell you something important." This calming approach, recorded on bodycam, demonstrates professional techniques for managing emotional subjects while fulfilling legal requirements. The officer then clearly states the formal arrest notification: "You are under arrest for driving under the influence." This direct statement, captured on bodycam, represents the official notification of charges that must be communicated during DUI processing. According to police reports, Moreno was ultimately booked into the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center without further incident after her arrest for aggravated DUI. This standard procedure follows the complete processing of individuals arrested for impaired driving in New Mexico. This police bodycam footage highlights the emotional dynamics between officers and suspects during DUI arrests, particularly during the critical rights notification phase that must be completed regardless of a suspect's emotional state or willingness to listen.
