#news #police #arrest #cops Report: On 12/28/2021, I responded to a female, who stated her child's father jumped on her. Victim advised that the suspect snatched her red iPhone from her and left walking. The victim advised the suspect was wearing a black jacket, black pants, and was carrying a book bag with him. When officers arrived in the area a suspect matching the description was walking. The suspect began running from those officers and after a foot chase he was arrested. Officers met with the original caller. At the residence Officers encountered numerous people and each time the officer asked if they had called they told the officer no and to hold on they would get the victim. Officer was asked to come inside the residence and each person told him no and to hold on as well. Eventually a female let the officer go in and took him to the front right bedroom where the officer met with the victim. She advised that she did not call and nothing was physical. She advised that she just wanted her red iPhone back. The victim seemed to be hesitant to speak with the officer and began walking to the front door for us to talk outside. While speaking with her inside a couple females were hovering around us and she was trying to get them to go away. The victim walked outside with the officer and the two females stayed at the door listening to the conversation. After a few tries the victim was able to get the females to go back inside and close the door. The victim once again stated that it was just a verbal argument between the suspect and her and that she was not the caller a family member was. She stated that they have a child together and that he has been staying with her for months now. The victim stated that today a verbal argument began because the suspect believed she was cheating on him. The suspect believes that she was talking to other guys using her red Phone. During the argument the victim said she put the iPhone on the bed and the suspect grabbed it off the bed and left the residence. She advised that she was not the original caller but that person (she did not identify that person said It was a family member) called because after the suspect grabbed the phone she screamed numerous times to "gimme my phone". The victim stated that as he was leaving the suspect yelled at the occupants in the house that she was cheating on him. The victim advised that the suspect sometimes uses the phone. During the face to face encounter with the victim she seemed hesitant to speak and seemed too nervous to be truthful with what happened. Officers called the victim on the phone and asked if she was in a safe place to talk with the officer. She was advised that a report will be made due to the relationship she has with the suspect and became worried that he would be charged. The victim stated she did not want anything done just wanted her phone back.
