On June 19, 2024, Las Cruces Police Officers were dispatched to an alleged fight involving a man and a woman. The first officer on scene observed a woman walking away from the park. Officer Telles located the woman and detained her. She denied being at the park. When officers ran her name through their dispatcher, she had 4 misdemeanor warrants from a previous arrest. Officers then comment about how the woman's previous arrest went viral on TiKTok because the woman's dad is the former District Attorney. While handcuffed in the back seat of the police vehicle, the woman was able to slip the handcuffs to the front and she started kicking the partition in the back of the police vehicle. Officers then called for "The Wrap" restraint system so that she would not damage the police vehicle or injure herself. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
