On December 28, 2024, Lakewood Police Officer Raulerson observed a vehicle with no license plate lamp allegedly doing 35 miles per hour (MPH) in a 25 MPH zone. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 29-year-old woman. As the vehicle came to a stop, a male passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officer Raulerson held the driver and a female passenger at gunpoint, while several other officers searched the area for the male subject. He was eventually located and was arrested. He claimed he fled because he had warrants, which was confirmed by police. Meanwhile, an open container of alcohol was located in the vehicle and the driver admitted to being under the influence. She was asked to submit to standardized field sobriety tests, but she refused. A female passenger was briefly detained, but was eventually released. The driver and the male passenger were transported to the Lakewood Police Station. Their charges and the outcome of their cases are discussed at the end of the video.
