Pinellas County, Florida – On October 25, 2025, police responded to a Target regarding a delayed criminal mischief investigation after the suspect returned to the store and was recognized by staff. Upon arrival, officers met with loss prevention personnel, who advised that on October 21, 2025, the suspect had been captured on surveillance smashing pumpkins displayed outside the store, causing nearly $500 in damage. The suspect had returned to the store on October 25 and was reportedly a frequent visitor who would help organize shelving displays, despite not being an employee. Officers reviewed surveillance footage of the pumpkin incident, as well as a live view of the suspect inside the store. He matched the description and was wearing the same clothing seen in the earlier footage. Officers located the suspect inside the store and escorted him to the loss prevention office for questioning. During the interview, the male admitted to damaging the pumpkins, stating that someone had been bothering him on Facebook and that he became angry. The suspect was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.
